Medway Primary Racket Skills Festival (for yrs 3 and 4)

Here is an opportunity to promote not only the games of squash and racketball but also our Club.

The Howard School Partnership is organizing this years Rackets Skill Festival to be run on Thursday 20th April at the Medway Park.

As Gordon Smith is our schools specialist can I suggest that anyone that wants to volunteer to help out on the day get in touch with him so that a list of people and numbers can be passed back to the Schools Games Organizer.

Gordon’s details can be found in the Members Directory.

“Hi All, (Badminton, Squash, Table Tennis and Tennis)

I hope your community club and sports coaches/sport volunteers can assist with the various racket skills coaching (similar to the last 4-5 years) at this years planned Medway Primary Racket Skills Festival (for yrs 3 and 4) is booked in for:
Thurs. 20th April 2017 at Medway Park.

I have booked the large sports hall and am hoping you can attend/get a suitable coach or two to attend and deliver the skills during
both the AM (9.30am – 12noon) and the PM (12.30pm – 3pm) session. Bring any required equipment for young people and promote your community club to young people and schools.

We are going to try and get some student sport leaders to assist you from the Brompton Academy (10) and the Howard School (6-8), with a teacher. Can you let me know how many sport leaders would you need per sports area and how many of your volunteer sports coaches from your club, can attend for the day?

Also would you be able to pull together some freebies/flyers and handouts for the school team goodie bags – 12 pupils per school team and we usually book in: 9 schools of 12 pupils per session. So 18 schools in total for the day.

We are about to start promote the Racket Skills Festival for yrs 3 and 4 and can book up to 9 teams per AM/PM session. The closing date for entries is: Weds. 22nd March 2017. If you are coaching in a Medway Primary schools please feel free to promote the attached event spec. and entry form to the teacher in charge. I will continue to promote the Festival via email and post.

I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks for your anticipated support.
